Be the Difference Award

Nominate Someone

From the beginning of the Denise Amber Lee Foundation, one of the most important tenants of our mission was to recognize the heroic life-saving work of Emergency Communication Specialists across the country.  Not getting nearly enough credit for the work you do so this year, in coordination with our First Annual Conference, we want to recognize the gold line heroes with our first ever Be the Difference Award.

Each and every year, Emergency Communications Specialists across the country handle over 240 million 9-1-1 calls.  In their most dire moments of need, these callers reach out to you and your actions can Be The Difference in their health and safety.  At the end of each of our classes, explaining the failures of Denise’s story, we make sure every person knows, with every call you take, every time you key up the radio, “YOU can Be the Difference in someone’s life.”

We want to recognize those who exemplify professionalism, compassion, and caring for the job.  Those who go above and beyond the normal heroic everyday duties, displaying a selfless devotion for their callers.  We want to hear your stories of those who have given their all for a call.

We also want to hear your stories for those who exemplify leadership, integrity, trustworthiness, dependability, and forward thinking on an organization level.  Those who lead by example, foster the mentoring of co-workers, encourage positive infectious behavior and good morale, building creative and innovative training programs, and ensuring top notch quality assurance and improvement.  These actions behind the scenes of a call are just as important, and can also Be the Difference for not only the callers, but for the mental and emotional health of those taking them.

Send us your nominations for those who continually make a difference, each and every call, and each and every day.
